NEW PROPERTY CHECKLIST

Thank you for your trust in Holland Properties to manage your property. We look forward to working with you to meet your investment property goals.  As you transition your property over to us here are some items to remember.


 

If tenant occupied:

 

  • 1 main key and one mailbox key delivered or mailed to us
  • The paperwork on the paperwork page
  • Current lease documents
  • Security Deposits
  • Move in property condition reports and pictures
  • If transferring from a different Property Manager we will work directly with them to get all this


If vacant or owner moving out:

 

  • Drop off or Mail 1 main door key (if mailed, tape it to a paper, not loose in envelope)
  • Complete the paperwork on the paperwork page
  • Leave in the kitchen drawer:
  • 2 extra main door keys
  • 3 keys for any other door locks
  • 2 mailbox keys
  • Garage door openers
  • Any other keys, HOA amenity key fobs and parking passes. Missing items will be ordered from the HOA and billed to the property owner.
  • Appliance instructions (if available)
  • Leave in the garage touch up paint for the home (if available)
  • Remove odors, make sure your property has no pet, smoking, cooking or incense odors
  • Remove shower curtains, leave the rods
  • Remove curtains but leave the curtain rods unless there are blinds installed
  • Remove cleaning supplies or other chemicals
  • Remove gardening items, fertilizers, weed killers, lawnmowers etc.
  • Remove any non matching paint cans
  • Remove all personal items including but not limited to:
  • indoor and outdoor furniture
  • Outdoor play sets
  • Electronics, media center etc.
  • Any building materials, extra firewood, exterior clutter etc.
  • Forward your mail at USPS.com, Amazon, and any other shipping services
  • Continue yard maintenance until a tenant moves in
