Maintenance Technician

Hourly Rate: $20-25 Depending on Experience


We are looking for a self motivated Maintenance Tech with a multitude of skills. The Maintenance Tech will perform tasks at multiple managed tenants homes as assigned by the Maintenance Coordinator at the main office of the company. This position will be responsible for the timely and professional completion of tasks to the standards of the company. 

The perfect candidate will be good with people, have their own vehicle with room to transport tools and materials, a good driving record, insurance and have knowledge to do a myriad of typical jobs around a home…


Tasks

  • Light plumbing repair/install - faucets, toilets, garbage disposals, snaking drains
  • Limited electrical repair - outlets, light fixtures, fans, heaters
  • Install appliances, fridges, stoves, washers, dryers, dishwashers
  • Repair drywall damage, texture and paint
  • Wood working experience, install trim or molding, staining wood finish, fencing repair
  • Repair/install window screening, blinds
  • Repair/Install doors handles, locks
  • View attic and crawlspace for leaks and mold
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds on a regular basis
  • Provide cell phone, maintenance vehicle for successful completion of duties
  • Maintain vehicle insurance with adequate coverage
  • Maintain a valid driver license and ability to be mobile between work sites
  • Provide accurate records of work performed including, but not limited to billable hours and materials for proper invoicing
  • Provide supervisor with updates on larger projects as requested

Traits

  • Appliance installation experience preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in maintenance management or suitable experience in residential home repairs
  • Consistent and regular attendance to ensure support for the company and all managed properties
  • Local area knowledge
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives including working on location at managed properties
  • Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills
  • Perform and provide exceptional quality work and services
  • Perform work in a timely manner - Sense of urgency
  • Highly detail oriented and organized in work
  • Knowledge of internet, software and email
  • Ability to prepare, write, and communicate effectively with tenants and staff with a customer service focus.
